About Us

The Smithy Seaside Cottage is a 3-bedroom terraced cottage overlooking the picturesque harbour and beach of the coastal village of Maidens, on the stunning Ayrshire coast in Scotland.

The cottage is in a superb location for golfing holidays, being only a stone's throw from the world famous Turnberry golf course, and with Culzean Country Park on the doorstep, its’s excellent for family adventures too.

The cottage has a ground floor king bedroom, with a double bedroom and bunk bedroom on the first floor, both of these having stunning sea views, making it an ideal place for families, friends, and groups of all ages to enjoy a fantastic seaside break. Pets are welcome too, by prior arrangement.

There is a large living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom which has both bath and shower, with towels provided. What Our Customers' Say

“A little home from home had everything you needed 😊”

“This is a fantastic place for a holiday. The cottage is so comfortable and has everything you need. We loved sitting in the conservatory looking over the sea to Arran. Very friendly and welcoming host.”

“Fabulous week at the Smithy. Comfy, quiet cottage in an ideal position, with the beach and 2 good eateries (Wildings hotel and The Ropes bistro) all on your doorstep. We enjoyed breakfast in the conservatory, overlooking the dog-secure garden and sea-scape beyond. Small but well equipped kitchen with new-looking dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave. Has a combi-boiler so plenty of hot water on demand with a good shower. Dog friendly, we could let out our border collie into the front garden without worrying that he would escape. Car parking was in nearby shop car park, accessed by short back lane. Although somewhat busy in the evenings, we always found somewhere to park.”
